Scope
This standard specifies the methods for detecting overall leakage in reverse osmosis or nanofiltration devices, detecting leakage in membrane assemblies, and detecting leakage points within membrane assemblies. This standard applies to the leakage detection of reverse osmosis or nanofiltration devices installed in municipal and industrial water treatment systems for desalination purposes. For devices installed with coiled membrane elements, the leakage detection methods specified in this standard can be referenced and implemented. For devices installed with other types of reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane elements, the methods specified in this standard can also be used as a reference for implementation.
