Scope

This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of zinc phenolsulfonic acid in cosmetics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of zinc phenolsulfonic acid in water-based products, shampoos, creams, wax-based products, and loose powders.
For the detection limit and quantitative limit of zinc phenolsulfonic acid in this standard: the detection limit in water-based products and shampoos is 24 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 30 mg/kg; the detection limit in creams and wax-based products is 120 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 140 mg/kg; the detection limit in loose powders is 60 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 90 mg/kg.
