LY/T 2237-2013 Machinery for forestry—Glazing and panel materials used in operator enclosures for protection against thrown sawteeth—Test method and performance criteria
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the test methods and performance requirements for the protective shielding capability designed to prevent operators from being injured by flying debris caused by saw teeth detaching from saw blades during the operation of forestry machinery equipped with circular saw blades. The hazards referred to in this standard specifically refer to the dangers posed by the size of the saw teeth and the ejection speed in the cutting device used for the test.
This standard applies to the protective shielding materials of forestry machinery defined in ISO 6814 [including integral circular saw blades or inset circular saw blades controlled or driven by the main engine (such as crown cutters, logging saws, and timber processing saws)].
This standard does not address the protection against the danger of saw chain whipping (see ISO 11837).
