Scope

This document specifies the terms, definitions, classification, characteristics, marking, other product information, standard working conditions, structure, operation requirements, and testing of residual current devices modules (hereinafter referred to as "DC-MRCD") used in DC systems. This document applies to DC-MRCDs used for DC residual current detection in DC distribution lines with a rated voltage not exceeding 1500 V. DC-MRCDs are used for residual current monitoring in low-voltage DC equipment (systems). When the residual current between live components and exposed conductive parts or ground exceeds a predetermined value, they trigger the operation of circuit breakers. DC-MRCDs are generally not directly connected to the monitored circuits. This document provides requirements for DC-MRCDs intended for use in environments with a pollution level of 3, and additional protective measures are required beyond these constraints. This document applies to DC-MRCDs that do not include current breaking devices and are primarily used in combination with DC circuit breakers that comply with GB/T 14048.2.
