Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the design, manufacture, installation, inspection, testing, and quality assurance of fire valves, smoke exhaust fire valves, and smoke exhaust valves (hereinafter collectively referred to as valves) used in the ventilation and smoke exhaust systems of nuclear power plants' nuclear islands. This standard applies to valves used in the ventilation and smoke exhaust systems of nuclear power plants. Valves used in the ventilation and smoke exhaust systems of nuclear power plant auxiliary facilities, conventional islands, and nuclear facilities may also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
