Scope

This standard specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instrumentation, determination steps, result calculation, recovery rate and precision, and allowable deviations of the qualitative and quantitative detection method of high-performance liquid chromatography for the content of 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxy-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (hereinafter referred to as stilbene glucoside) in cosmetics.
This standard is applicable to the determination of 2,3,5,4′-tetrahydroxy-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside, a major characteristic component of Polygonum multiflorum, in shampoos and hair conditioners.
The detection limit of this standard method is 2 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 7 mg/kg.
