Scope

This standard specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for the regular inspection and evaluation of automotive liquefied natural gas (LNG) cylinders (hereinafter referred to as "cylinders"). This standard applies to automotive LNG cylinders that are used in normal ambient temperatures (–40°C to 60°C) or in environmental temperatures specified by product standards, and are designed to hold LNG with a design temperature not lower than –196°C, a nominal volume of 150L to 1000L, and an operating pressure of 0.6MPa to 3.5MPa for repeated refilling.
