Scope
This standard specifies the sample preparation, microscope configuration, measurement, measurement accuracy, and test reports for the fluorescence method of determining the percentage of micro-porosity in metal materials.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the percentage of micro-porosity in as-cast metal materials and 3D-printed metal materials. The determination of pore content in other materials such as ceramics and powder metallurgy materials can be used as a reference.
