Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the requirements (including testing methods), testing rules, and labeling, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for prickly pear meal powder as a meal replacement product. This standard applies to prickly pear meal products made from prickly pear fruits as the main raw material, supplemented with healthy ingredients, and processed through pretreatment, drying, grinding, and packaging. These products are characterized by high fiber content, low calorie, and easy satiety. Main technical content: 44.1 Requirements for raw materials and auxiliary materials: 4.1.1 Prickly pear powder should have the unique aroma and taste of prickly pear, no odor, no visible foreign matter, and no clumping. The vitamin C content should be ≥ 3000 mg/100 g. 4.1.2 Additives and other raw materials: They should comply with the corresponding safety standards and/or relevant regulations. They should meet the requirements specified in Table 1. Table 1: Sensory requirements Item Requirements Test method Color The product should have the unique color of the variety.
