Scope

This document sets forth the detection conditions, detection methods, altitude correction of ultraviolet photon numbers, determination of discharge types and causes, defect classification and treatment, detection cycle, and data management for the detection of corona and arc discharges in AC electrical equipment of 1,000 V and above in substations (converter stations) using day-blind ultraviolet imaging devices. This document is applicable to the detection of corona and arc discharges in AC electrical equipment of 1,000 V and above operating in substations (converter stations) located at altitudes of 1,000 m to 5,000 m.
