Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in aviation kerosene and petroleum distillates with a boiling range of 50°C to 300°C by high-performance liquid chromatography. The total aromatic hydrocarbon content is obtained by adding the content of monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons together. This standard is applicable to the determination of aviation fuels and their distillates with a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content of 10% (by mass) to 25% (by mass) and a bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content of 0% to 7% (by mass).
