This standard specifies the energy efficiency test methods for industrial brakes (hereinafter referred to as brakes).
This standard applies to electric hydraulic drum brakes, electric hydraulic disc brakes, electromagnetic drum brakes, and electromagnetic and hydraulic caliper disc brakes. Other types of brakes can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
