Scope
This standard specifies the definition, symbols, abbreviations, classification marks, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of welded aluminum-plastic composite pressure pipes (hereinafter referred to as composite pipes) made of overlapped-welded aluminum pipes as the embedded metal layer reinforcement, and bonded with hot-melt adhesives through co-extrusion with inner layers of polypropylene or polyethylene, and outer layers of polypropylene plastic composites.
This standard applies to cold and hot water piping systems, including industrial and civil cold and hot water, drinking water, and hot water heating systems, etc.
This standard does not apply to fire extinguishing systems and fluid transportation systems for non-water media.
