Scope

This standard specifies the definition, classification, specifications and models, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of graphite crucibles (hereinafter referred to as "crucibles").
This standard applies to crucibles used for melting, refining, and heat preservation of non-ferrous metals and their alloys (for the specific scope of application and service life, see Appendix A). The models of artificial graphite crucibles, high-purity graphite crucibles, and crucibles processed from carbon products can be referenced according to this standard.
