Scope

This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for determining hesperidin, naringin, and neonaringin in the fruits of Citrus species of the Rutaceae family. This standard is applicable to the determination of hesperidin, naringin, and neonaringin in the fruits of Citrus species such as oranges, mandarins, grapefruits, and lemons. The quantitative limit for determining the content of hesperidin, naringin, and neonaringin in the fresh tissues of Citrus species is 0.05 μg/g, and the detection limit is 0.016 μg/g; the quantitative limit for determining the content of hesperidin, naringin, and neonaringin in the dry tissues of Citrus species is 2.5 μg/g, and the detection limit is 0.76 μg/g.
