Scope
This standard provides guidance for the design of heavy-load traffic tunnels on ordinary trunk highways, and gives recommendations for the overall design of tunnels, tunnel entrances, open-air sections and covered sections, lining structures, waterproofing and drainage, disaster prevention and rescue channels, roadbed and pavement structures, decoration, operation and management facilities, traffic safety facilities, and reconstruction and expansion design. This standard applies to the design of heavy-load traffic tunnels on ordinary trunk highways. For third- and fourth-class highways with heavy-load traffic design requirements, this standard can be used as a reference for implementation.
