Scope

This standard specifies the responsibilities and basic requirements for occupational health protection in automotive casting operations, the identification of hazards from occupational exposure and health risk assessment, typical occupational health protection in casting operations, and provides a guide card for identifying and preventing occupational hazards in key positions in casting operations.
This standard applies to the prevention and control of occupational hazards in sand casting operations in automotive casting. Special casting operations can refer to and adopt it, as described in Appendix A.
