Scope
This standard specifies four methods for determining total arsenic in food detergents, namely hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry, hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry, silver salt method, and arsenic spot method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of total arsenic in food detergents, and it is also applicable to the determination of total arsenic in non-food detergents. Hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry, hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry, and silver salt method are suitable for the quantitative determination of total arsenic, while arsenic spot method is suitable for the limit determination of total arsenic.
