Scope

IEC 61400-25 (all parts) focuses on the general requirements for communication between various components (such as wind turbines) and participants (such as SCADA systems) in wind farms. Communication within each component of the wind farm is not within the scope of application.
IEC 61400-25 (all parts) designs a communication environment supported by the client-server model, defines the content of the following three aspects, and models them separately to ensure the scalability of the implementation:
1) Wind farm information model;
2) Information exchange model;
3) Mapping of the information model and the information exchange model to standard communication protocols.
