Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of pencils and dedicated pens for answering multiple-choice questions in examinations.
This standard applies to pencils for examinations equipped with a 2B-hardness lead core (hereinafter referred to as "pencils") and dedicated pens for answering multiple-choice questions, as well as lead cores for dedicated pens for answering multiple-choice questions (hereinafter referred to as "lead cores").
