Scope

This standard specifies the types and sizes, positional tolerances, materials and hardness, appearance and surface roughness, and basic requirements for marking and packaging of solid carbide straight-shank and Morse taper-shank machine tools used for reaming.
This standard applies to solid carbide straight-shank machine tools used for reaming with diameters greater than 5.3 mm to 20 mm, and solid carbide taper-shank machine tools used for reaming with diameters greater than 7.5 mm to 40 mm.
