Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general technical requirements for the manufacture of metal structure ship cranes. This document is applicable to the following types of ship cranes: -- Deck cranes installed on ships for loading and unloading cargo or containers under port conditions; -- Floating cranes or grab cranes installed on barges or pontoons for operations under port conditions; -- Engine room cranes or material cranes installed on ships (including floating docks) for lifting equipment or materials under port conditions. Note: Other types of ship cranes can be referenced for implementation. This document is not applicable to ship cranes operating under the following conditions: -- Operating temperatures below -20℃; -- Operating temperatures above +45℃; -- Lifting operations underwater; -- Joint lifting operations of multiple cranes; -- Emergency rescue operations; -- Shore-based cargo loading and unloading cranes; -- Cranes used for lifting lifeboats, life rafts, gangways, pilot ladders, walkways, and their operating devices; -- Lowering and raising life rafts and rescue boats.
