GB/Z 42773-2023 Women’s entrepreneurship—Key definitions and general criteria
Basic Information
Scope
This document defines a series of general definitions related to women's entrepreneurship, which apply to all businesses owned by women, businesses led by women, and cooperatives and informal enterprises led by women. The definitions defined in this document apply to projects such as women's economic empowerment (e.g., procurement and trade projects), as well as for collecting international comparative data on women's entrepreneurial capabilities (including their impact on local and national economies). This document also clarifies the criteria for determining important factors related to these definitions, such as ownership, management, and control, and how to handle investment dilution. Note: If a business does not apply any of the definitions provided in this document, this does not mean that the business is owned or led by men. This document does not provide recommendations for project implementation based on definitions and criteria, such as public procurement. Additionally, this document does not address issues such as how to promote qualification assessments.
