Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the residual amount of organic solvents in newspapers. This standard is applicable to the determination of the residual amount of organic solvents in newspapers, including acetone, ethyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, butanone, isopropanol, ethanol, benzene, n-propyl acetate, toluene, butyl acetate, hexaldehyde, methyl glycol ether, p-xylene, m-xylene, n-butanol, and o-xylene (a total of 16 solvents). The determination of the residual amount of organic solvents in other paper-based printed products can be carried out in accordance with this standard. The detection limit of this standard is 0.01 mg/m2.
