Scope

This document stipulates the basic requirements for flood control evaluation of construction projects (hereinafter referred to as "construction projects") within the scope of river management (including lakes, reservoirs, and artificial waterways), the specific requirements for various types of construction projects, and the requirements for measures to eliminate and mitigate their impacts. This document applies to the flood control evaluation of new and renovated/expanded construction projects, such as those crossing rivers (dikes), passing through rivers (dikes), and adjacent to rivers (dikes), within the scope of river management and its supporting projects.
