Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the residual amount of dimethyl dodecyl ammonium chloride (DSDMAC) in textile products using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
Note: DSDMAC is typically composed of a mixture of alkyl dimethyl ammonium chlorides with carbon chain lengths of eighteen and sixteen, namely containing dimethyl dodecyl ammonium chloride, dimethyl hexadecyl ammonium chloride, and hexadecyl dodecyl ammonium chloride.
