This document specifies the structural requirements and test methods for pressurized granular media filters used in agricultural irrigation systems (hereinafter referred to as media filters).
This document is applicable to manual cleaning media filters and automatic self-cleaning media filters. It is applicable to single filters as well as filter combinations (combinations of two or more filters working in parallel).
This document involves the operation and performance of media filters and all related valves, backwashing mechanisms, hidden pipes, manifolds, and other related accessories necessary for filter operation.
