Scope
This document stipulates the general principles, working procedures, preparation work, risk level classification, and requirements for risk analysis and report preparation for the environmental risk classification of tailings ponds. This document applies to the environmental risk classification of tailings ponds that are in use, decommissioned (including abandoned), or closed, except for those that store radioactive tailings, are accompanied by radioactive tailings, or have completed the closure and decommissioning work.
