GB/T 20728-2006 Measurement of fluid flow in closed conduits—Guidance to the selection, installation and use of Coriolis meters
Basic Information
Scope
This standard proposes guidelines for the selection, installation, calibration, performance, and operation of Coriolis flowmeters used to measure the mass flow rate, density, volumetric flow rate, and other related parameters of fluids. This standard specifies methods for determining the mass flow rate and standard volumetric flow rate of gases (using a predetermined standard density). This standard also appropriately considers the properties of the measured fluids. The main use of Coriolis flowmeters is to measure the mass flow rate of fluids. However, some Coriolis flowmeters also have the ability to measure the density and temperature of fluids. By measuring these three parameters, the volumetric flow rate and other related parameters of fluids can be determined. With special consideration, any Coriolis flowmeter can in principle be used to measure gas flow. The special considerations for measuring gas flow are given in Appendix E. This standard is primarily applicable to the measurement of liquids, and may also be applicable to the measurement of gases in certain situations.
