Scope

This standard specifies two laboratory test methods for refrigerant capillary tube flow, namely the traditional method and the alternative method, used to determine the capillary tube flow that regulates the refrigerant in the refrigeration system. Both methods use dry nitrogen to provide comparable results. If electronic equipment is used, it is more convenient to choose the alternative method. Through the test methods of this standard, the flow characteristics of the refrigerant in the capillary tube can be obtained. However, the results obtained do not represent the actual flow characteristics of the refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle.
This standard does not specify the tolerance requirements for the inner diameter of the capillary tube and the deviation requirements for the nitrogen flow, but it is recommended to provide an acceptable deviation range for the test results.
