Scope
This document describes the methods of determining the particle size and distribution of particles in natural gas using laser diffraction and optical particle counting, including reagents and materials, instrumentation, measurement procedures, data processing, precision, and measurement reports.
This document is applicable to the measurement of particle size and distribution in natural gas transmission and distribution stations and filtration and separation systems. The measurement range of laser diffraction is 0.1 μm to 100 μm, and the measurement range of optical particle counting is 0.1 μm to 60 μm.
