Scope

This standard specifies the determination of the content of lead, cadmium, and chromium by glow discharge atomic emission spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of lead, cadmium, and chromium in pure zinc, zinc-iron, zinc-aluminum, and aluminum-zinc coatings on steel plates and steel strips with a coating thickness of 1 μm to 50 μm. The determination range (mass fraction): lead: 0.003% to 0.5%; cadmium: 0.003% to 0.2%; chromium: 0.002% to 0.02%.
