Scope

This standard specifies the method of designating corrosion-resistant steel plates for cargo tanks of crude oil tankers, the content of orders, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, inspections and tests, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to the manufacture of corrosion-resistant steel plates (hereinafter referred to as steel plates) with a thickness not exceeding 50 mm for the upper deck and inner bottom areas of crude oil tankers. Section steel can be referenced to this standard for implementation.
