Scope

This document specifies the minimum requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in terms of emissions, immunity, and performance criteria for electrical and electronic equipment on non-metallic ships. Note: IEC 60533 specifies the electromagnetic compatibility requirements for metal ships. As an extension of IEC 60533, this document stipulates the electromagnetic compatibility of non-metallic ships. This document further provides guidelines for achieving electromagnetic compatibility on non-metallic ships, which can be used as a reference for achieving electromagnetic compatibility on metal ships with non-metallic superstructures or components. This document helps meet the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution A.813 (19).
