Scope

This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for dental root canal filling materials used for permanently sealing root canals. Dental root canal filling materials can be cured in either a humid or non-humid environment, and can be used in combination with root canal apical filling materials or independently. This standard only applies to forward-filling root canal filling materials, that is, root canal filling materials that are filled from the crown of the tooth. Uncured dental root canal filling materials are not applicable to this standard.
