Scope

Main Technical Content: 5. Prevention and Control Objects 5.1 Major Diseases: Wilting disease, heart rot, anthracnose, black rot, Phoma leaf spot, black heart disease, and nematode infestation. See Appendix A for details. 5.2 Major Pests: Powdery scale insects, grubs, nematodes, and long-leaved mites. See Appendix A for details. 5.3 Major Weeds: Fructus Cyperi, Imperata cylindrica, Cyperus rotundus, Dichanthelium spectabile, and Sida cordifolia. 6. Prevention and Control Principles 6.1 Implement the guiding principles of "prevention-oriented, integrated prevention and control, scientific management, legal supervision, and strengthened responsibility". Based on agricultural and physical prevention methods, with biological prevention as the main approach and chemical pesticides as supplementary measures, achieve green prevention and control and harmless management principles. 6.2 Select pesticides rationally according to NY/T 393. Based on the characteristics of pests, the degree of harm, and pesticide properties, select highly effective, low-toxicity, safe, and low-residue pesticides during the appropriate period for prevention and control of major pests, and use appropriate application methods to control pests economically, safely, effectively, and conveniently. 6.3 The dosage (or concentration) of pesticides, the number of applications, and the safe interval period shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 8321 (all parts), the "Regulations on Pesticide Management in Hainan Economic Special Zone", and the "Notice on the List of Pesticides Prohibited from Production, Transportation, Storage, Sale, and Recommended for Use in Hainan Economic Special Zone".
