Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of indoor plastic trash cans.
This standard applies to plastic trash cans used in households, as well as those used in indoor spaces such as offices.
This standard does not apply to hollow trash baskets (cans), municipal trash cans, and special-purpose trash cans.
