Main technical content: The cultivation techniques of Aksu Red Fuji apples include the following steps: 1. Site selection and planning - New apple orchards should be established in agricultural production areas with good ecological conditions, away from pollution sources, sufficient irrigation water, and sustainable production capabilities. Fertile sandy loam soil is preferred, with an active soil layer of at least 80cm and a groundwater level below 1.5m. The soil pH should be less than 8.5 and the total salt content below 0.3%. - Orchard design and road planning should meet the requirements of mechanized operations. The road system typically consists of main roads, secondary roads, and working paths. Main roads are 6–7m wide, connecting the orchard to external roads and secondary roads to divide the orchard into several large zones. Secondary roads are 3–5m wide, dividing the large zones into smaller ones. For easy management, working paths 1–2m wide can be set within the small zones. - Basic infrastructure such as water, electricity, roads, irrigation channels, and protective forests, as well as auxiliary facilities for storing agricultural machinery, should be provided. 2. Orchard construction - The row orientation should be north-south. Trees are planted in 0.8m-wide, 0.6m-deep planting ditches filled with about 40cm of organic (farmyard) fertilizer mixed with straw.
