Scope

This standard specifies the classification and grade designation methods, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for wide and thick steel plates used in oil and gas pipelines.
This standard applies to wide and thick steel plates with a thickness of 6 mm to 50 mm used in oil and gas pipelines, which are produced in accordance with standards such as ISO 3183, GB/T 9711, and API Spec 5L (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates"). Other wide and thick steel plates used in fluid transmission welded pipes can also refer to this standard.
