Scope

Scope: This document specifies the breeding techniques for multiple births of Albais type cashmere goats, including mating and lambing plans, implementation requirements, feed and rations, and management of breeding goats, as well as hygiene and epidemic prevention measures. This document applies to multiple birth breeding of Albais type cashmere goats. Main technical content: 1. Mating and lambing plan arrangement: Based on the reproductive performance characteristics of suitable breeding female goats in specific geographical and ecological conditions, determine the starting point of the implementation of the plan, and formulate relatively fixed mating and lambing plans according to the established production rhythm, the establishment of production units, and appropriate mating methods. 2. Implementation requirements for breeding: Female goats selected for multiple birth breeding should have the characteristics of year-round estrus and multiple lambing. 3. Feed and rations: Maintain a complete nutritional value and high feeding level for female goats in different physiological periods (average mixed concentrate ≥ 500 g/day). Implement early weaning of lambs, with the weaning age of lambs ≤ 60 days. 4. Key supporting technologies: 5.4.1 Synchronized estrus technology is conducive to centralized mating and lambing, production management, and mass production of meat goats. Common methods include vaginal sponge tampon and PG muscle injection. For synchronous estrus treatment during the non-breeding season, the former method is used; for synchronous estrus treatment during the breeding season, the latter method is preferred. The operation method is carried out according to the methods specified in NY/T 1571. 5.4.2 Artificial insemination technology is a routine production technology and an indispensable technology for high-frequency breeding of goats in large-scale indoor farming with two births per year and three productions per year. It can effectively improve t
