Scope

1.0.1 In order to standardize the principles, content, and methods of post-evaluation of the environmental impact of hydropower projects, and to unify technical requirements, these regulations are formulated. 1.O.2 These regulations apply to the investigation, analysis, and evaluation of the actual environmental impact of hydropower projects after they have been in stable operation for a certain period of time. 1.0.3 The post-evaluation of the environmental impact of hydropower projects shall be based on the overall requirements of river basin environmental protection, and follow the principles of objectivity, fairness, scientific system, and focusing on key issues. It shall conduct an in-depth analysis of the long-term, cumulative, and regional environmental impacts of hydropower projects and the trends of environmental changes, and objectively evaluate the environmental quality status and the implementation effect of environmental protection measures. 1.0.4 In addition to complying with these regulations, the post-evaluation of the environmental impact of hydropower projects shall also comply with the provisions of relevant national standards currently in force.
