GB/Z 44070-2024 Hydraulic cylinder—Method for evaluating the buckling load
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for evaluating the buckling load of hydraulic cylinders:
a) A geometric model of the hydraulic cylinder, calculated as a non-equidimensional cylinder;
b) Applicable to the installation and joint bearing connection forms given in Table 2;
c) Includes a safety factor k (set by the evaluator and filled in the evaluation report together with the calculation results);
d) Considers loads that may deviate from the axial direction;
e) Considers the weight of the hydraulic cylinder and all radial loads applied to the hydraulic cylinder in different installation forms;
f) Can be implemented through a simple computer program;
g) Applicable to the fully extended state of the hydraulic cylinder piston rod.
The method provided in this document is based on the theory of elastic buckling and is applicable to single-acting and double-acting hydraulic cylinders that comply with ISO 6020 (all parts), ISO 6022, and ISO 10762.
This method is not applicable to thin-walled hydraulic cylinders, double-rod hydraulic cylinders, and piston hydraulic cylinders.
This method is not applicable to the evaluation of piston rod buckling inside the hydraulic cylinder.
This method does not consider the friction of ball bearings.
Note: This method is based on the research results of Fred Hoblit and references the American standard NFPA/T3.6.37.
