Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, materials, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) extruded from PVC-C resin as the main raw material, with the addition of necessary additives, and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride fittings (hereinafter referred to as fittings) molded by injection molding.
This standard applies to chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) pipes and fittings used for sewage and wastewater (high and low temperature) in buildings.
This standard does not apply to buried pipe networks.
