GB/T 40338-2021 Corrosion of metals and alloys—Exfoliation corrosion testing of aluminium alloys
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the test principles, effectiveness, and interference of full immersion accelerated spallation corrosion for aluminum alloys in the R&D and quality control process, as well as the samples, test solutions, test devices, test procedures, result evaluation, factors affecting reproducibility, and test reports.
This document is applicable to the testing of rolled semi-finished deformed aluminum alloys, parts produced by conventional casting metallurgical processes and powder metallurgy processes, as well as aluminum-based composites produced by mechanical alloying.
This document is also applicable to the testing of aluminum ingots and cast aluminum alloys with oriented structures such as columnar grains or strip-shaped segregation. The test results obtained using this document are mainly applicable to studying the spallation corrosion trend in alloy R&D, and are not suitable as an absolute criterion for spallation corrosion resistance. When the test is used for production control of materials resistant to spallation corrosion, the relevant parties should negotiate on the qualified performance indicators.
