Scope

This document specifies the evaluation requirements, evaluation system, and evaluation methods for the fire risk of electrochemical energy storage systems such as lithium-ion batteries. This document is applicable to the fire risk evaluation of electrochemical energy storage systems with a power of 500 kW or more, which use lithium-ion batteries as the medium for storing electrical energy. The fire risk evaluation of electrochemical energy storage systems with a power of less than 500 kW and mobile electrochemical energy storage systems shall be conducted in accordance with this document.
