Scope

This document specifies limits, test procedures, mitigation measures, and related information for assessing the long-term interference of AC voltages ranging from 16.7 Hz to 60 Hz and the possibility of AC corrosion. This document applies to buried cathodic protection pipelines affected by AC traction systems and/or AC transmission lines. This document does not apply to safety issues related to AC voltages in pipelines. These safety issues are addressed in other relevant standards and regulations (such as EN 50443).
