Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the total content of active substances in ethoxylated alcohols and alkylphenol sulfates.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the total content of active substances in ethoxylated alcohols and alkylphenols' sulfated neutralization products [alkyl alcohol ethoxylate sulfates (ethoxylated alcohol sulfates)] or alkylphenol ethoxylate sulfates (ethoxylated alkylphenol sulfates).
The total active substances include organic substances dissolved in ethanol (alkyl ether sulfates, alkylphenol ether sulfates, polyethylene glycol sulfates, and non-ionic components).
