Scope

This standard specifies the methods for calibrating image density and size measurement in industrial computed tomography (CT) systems used for non-destructive testing, as well as methods for measuring the material density and dimensions of the objects being tested from CT images.
This standard is applicable to measuring the density of various parts within the objects being tested (including the density of various parts within the objects composed of different materials) and the geometric dimensions of the internal and external structures of the objects being tested (especially closed cavities).
