Scope

This part of GB/T 26645 specifies a method for analyzing the particle size distribution by measuring the mass of particles that settle by gravity in a liquid. This method directly measures the mass of particles and provides a particle size distribution in terms of equivalent sphere diameter. The typical particle size range measured by the liquid gravity settling method is 1 μm to 100 μm, and the settling conditions should meet the requirement that the Reynolds number is no greater than 0.25.
