Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, samples, test procedures, precision, and test reports for determining the content of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in coatings using gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
This standard is applicable to the determination of PCBs in coatings and coating films, including but not limited to the PCBs listed in Table A.1 of Appendix A. The determination of PCBs in raw materials for coatings can refer to this standard.
